With the NEW InstantON feature you can scan between security cams with no warm-up phase (old version, 1-2 seconds). You now get "instant" high quality crystal clear images!

There is NO "warming-up" of the security cam when it is switched on as the camera is now always on and the X10 signal is now onlySee the Difference with the InstantON Security Cam! controlling the transmitter. Hence, the picture comes on at the correct brightness level immediately. With the regular XCam2, when switching security cams, you may notice a 1-2 second "fuzzy" or "dark" period before you get a clear picture. This is the "warming-up" period.

The secret to the new security cam is that the power is separated between the security cam & transmitter. This provides that the security cam is always "on" so there is no warm-up period. The power gets turned on/off for the transmitter so you can easily scan between security cams!

Since wires aren't needed to transfer images from the security cam to the receiver, you can place the security cam virtually anywhere and be able to see clear color pictures of your home and property. However, the security cam still needs a power source. The XCam2 Security Cam Kit comes with a standard AC power supply. Battery packs are also available for purchase should you want to mount your cam where there is no electrical outlet close by.
